Space Marines.
Sequel project to the 300 Spartans for free.
This July to mark our three year anniversary, we are going to paint an
entire space marine chapter for free.
We are calling this the Grand Project since we'll be doing a grand's worth
of figures. Look to Dakka Dakka for updates and competitions we'll be
hosting with John Regal's (Yakface) blessings.
The chap on the left is what they're going to be, an archetypal sort of
marine scheme that will be fairly straightforward to paint in large numbers
to a high standard.
Once they're done they'll head off to the US to a major convention
(GenCon, Adepticon, or Origins, we're still deciding) for display. What
happens to them after that depends on whether or not sponsors emerge
for the purchasing costs of the minis - we won't want them back!
Help Us Name Them!
Our first community competition will be come up with a name for the
chapter, which we will be turning over to the Dakka Dakka community for
submissions. The only guideline is that the name has to have the word
"grand" in it somewhere.

Ownership of the entire chapter is up for grabs, so If any parties are
interested in sponsorship please feel free to contact us at
paintedfigs@gmail.com. We are bearing the painting costs, but we don't
care to pay for purchasing and shipping if we don't have to.
